We fix what's broken, fast, and we don't disappear after the invoice. Same-day appointments available across Kihei and the surrounding zip codes.
No automated menus for emergencies — a real person handles the call.
You'll get a flat-rate quote before any repair work begins — no guessing what the final bill will look like.
Most repairs are completed same-visit, and we test the system before we leave to confirm it's actually holding.
Leonard HVAC grew one honest service call at a time in communities like Kihei. Every technician we send to your door is background-checked, factory-trained, and licensed to work on the systems installed throughout Kihei, HI.
We're not interested in being the cheapest quote on the page — we're the crew that answers the phone at 2am when your furnace quits in the middle of a cold snap. Licensing and insurance aren't optional line items for us, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, big or small.
We know which neighborhoods run on older ductwork and which subdivisions were built with newer high-efficiency systems. That local knowledge shapes the parts we stock on the truck — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Too many homeowners in Kihei have a story about a tech who showed up late, quoted one price, and charged another. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. We track arrival windows, callback rates, and repeat-issue complaints internally so problems get caught before they become patterns, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Kihei is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
When you call +1-866-805-8548, you're talking to someone who understands the local permitting process, the common equipment brands installed in Kihei homes, and realistic scheduling given local demand. It also means faster escalation when something's urgent — a local dispatcher can reroute the nearest truck in minutes, not hours.
We cover the full range of heating, cooling, and air quality work Kihei properties actually need.
Breakdowns rarely happen at a convenient time, which is exactly why our emergency line runs 24 hours a day. Our Kihei dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
Once a technician is on-site, the goal is always a same-visit repair — most emergency calls in Kihei get resolved in a single trip, not a multi-day back-and-forth.
Not every repair call ends in a repair — sometimes the honest recommendation is a properly sized replacement. We walk Kihei homeowners through financing and rebate options where available before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
Commercial equipment operates differently than a residential unit, and it needs technicians who actually understand rooftop packages and multi-zone systems. Our commercial division services light industrial and warehouse ventilation across Kihei, with after-hours work to avoid disrupting business.
Our commercial techs are trained to work around your customers and staff, scheduling noisy or disruptive work outside peak hours whenever possible.
Preventive maintenance is the cheapest repair you'll ever pay for, because it's the one that prevents the bigger bill. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle duct cleaning and sealing to stop conditioned air from leaking into attics and crawlspaces for Kihei households that want more than just temperature control.
A tune-up typically takes under an hour and covers the checkpoints most likely to catch a problem before it becomes a breakdown.
This is the standard every Kihei technician on our team is held to.
If the same issue returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no additional labor cost.
Emergency dispatch never comes with a hidden surcharge sprung on you after the fact.
If anything feels off after we leave, one call gets a tech back to your Kihei address.
Catching these signs early usually means a same-day repair instead of an emergency call at the worst possible moment.
Ignoring new noises is one of the fastest ways to turn a small repair into a major one.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A tune-up often identifies exactly what's driving the extra energy use.
Short cycling puts extra wear on the compressor and shortens the system's overall lifespan.
A burning smell should never be ignored — it can indicate an electrical issue that needs immediate attention.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
We explain diagnostic fees and repair estimates before authorizing work.
Because our trucks are stationed near Kihei, we're rarely far from your address.
We don't consider a job finished until the system is actually performing correctly.
We run background checks because you're letting someone into your home.
Photos and plain-language notes accompany every diagnostic.
We'll walk you through what's actually available before you decide.
We don't write these — our customers do.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. Fixed on the first visit and explained everything in terms I could actually understand."
"Scheduled a fall tune-up and they caught a cracked part before it became a real problem. Never once felt like I was being upsold on something I didn't need."
"They handled the whole install in a single day, exactly like they said they would. Followed up a week later just to check everything was still running fine."
"Our restaurant's rooftop unit went down on a Friday night and they had someone out fast. Kept our kitchen running through the weekend rush."
"Got quotes from four different companies for a replacement and this was the only one that actually walked me through the load calculation. Installation crew was in and out in a day and left the space cleaner than they found it."
"Called at 11pm during a heat wave and honestly didn't expect anyone to pick up, let alone show up. Genuinely relieved to have found a crew that answers when it matters."
After thousands of service calls across Kihei, a handful of causes show up again and again.
The shift between peak heating and peak cooling demand is exactly when older or neglected equipment tends to fail. Before the heaviest cooling months hit, it's worth having the refrigerant charge checked, the condenser coils cleaned, and the filter replaced — all of which directly affect how hard the compressor has to work.
Clearing debris, leaves, and overgrown landscaping away from an outdoor condenser unit gives it room to breathe and keeps it running efficiently. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
Our technicians train across the major residential and commercial equipment lines, so you're not limited to a single brand's service network. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
Every tech on our Kihei roster goes through background checks, licensing verification, and ongoing manufacturer training.

For commercial accounts or rental properties, a designated point of contact or property manager can coordinate access instead.
Housing stock varies a lot across Kihei — older homes often still run original ductwork that needs different care than the sealed, high-efficiency systems going into newer builds.
We also work regularly with homeowners associations, property management companies, and multi-unit buildings throughout Kihei.
A full system replacement is one of the bigger home expenses most people face, and we don't expect everyone to pay it in a single lump sum. If a rebate or local incentive program applies to your Kihei installation, our technicians will flag it during the estimate rather than leaving you to track it down after the fact.
We dispatch throughout Kihei and the neighboring communities, keeping response times tight because our trucks stay close to home.
If you're on the edge of our listed zip codes, it's still worth a call, since routes and coverage get adjusted as demand shifts.
