No overselling, no guesswork — just a Hvac Installation crew that diagnoses it right the first time. Priority scheduling available across Kihei and the surrounding zip codes.
No automated menus for emergencies — a real person handles the call.
Ask as many questions as you want; we'd rather over-explain than leave you unsure.
Most repairs are completed same-visit, and we test the system before we leave to confirm it's actually holding.
Leonard HVAC didn't start as a franchise chasing volume. Our crews carry manufacturer certifications across the major residential and commercial equipment lines.
We're not interested in being the cheapest quote on the page — we're the company that tells you what actually needs fixing instead of what pads the ticket. Licensing and insurance aren't optional line items for us, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, routine or emergency.
We know which neighborhoods run on older ductwork and which subdivisions were built with newer high-efficiency systems. That local knowledge shapes the parts we stock on the truck — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Ask around Kihei and you'll hear the same complaint about a lot of HVAC companies. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. We'd rather lose a job to a lower bid than win one by cutting corners on the diagnosis, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and Kihei is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
That local context saves time on every call, because we're not starting from zero on basic questions about your neighborhood or your system. It also means faster escalation when something's urgent — a local dispatcher can reroute the nearest truck in minutes, not hours.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
When your Hvac Installation system fails without warning, waiting days for an appointment isn't an option. Our Kihei dispatch team sends the closest available truck first so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
We keep the truck stocked with the parts that fail most often on the equipment common to Kihei homes, which is exactly why most repairs don't require a return visit.
If your unit is past its expected service life, running loud, or spiking your utility bill, a replacement conversation is worth having. We walk Kihei homeowners through efficiency ratings and how they translate into real monthly savings before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
A retail floor, a restaurant kitchen, or an office suite can't run without stable climate control. Our commercial division services multi-zone commercial buildouts across Kihei, with priority response for facilities that can't afford downtime.
We understand that a commercial call isn't just about comfort, it's about keeping a business open.
Preventive maintenance is the cheapest repair you'll ever pay for, because it's the one that prevents the bigger bill. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle duct cleaning and sealing to stop conditioned air from leaking into attics and crawlspaces for Kihei households that want more than just temperature control.
We'll show you photos of anything concerning we find, along with a plain-language explanation of what it means and whether it's urgent.
This is the standard every Kihei technician on our team is held to.
Details vary by job type and are always shared upfront, never buried in fine print.
We quote a flat rate before work begins and that number doesn't change once you approve it.
A technician doesn't consider the job done until the system is tested and performing correctly.
A little attention to how your system is running can save you a lot of money and discomfort.
A healthy system runs with a consistent, low hum — banging, screeching, or grinding usually points to a loose part or failing motor.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A tune-up often identifies exactly what's driving the extra energy use.
A system that won't hold a steady cycle is often fighting a sizing issue, a thermostat problem, or a refrigerant imbalance.
Chemical odors may signal a refrigerant leak, which requires a licensed technician to handle safely.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
You'll know the cost before a wrench touches your system.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
We don't consider a job finished until the system is actually performing correctly.
Every technician carries current state licensing and manufacturer training.
You make the final call — we just make sure you have the full picture.
We'll walk you through what's actually available before you decide.
Every review below reflects an actual service call in the Kihei area.
"I called three other companies first and this was the only one that actually picked up. No pressure to buy a whole new system when a repair was all we needed."
"We've used them for our maintenance plan for two years now and never had a surprise breakdown. Never once felt like I was being upsold on something I didn't need."
"Had a full system replacement done and it was the smoothest home project I've had in years. Followed up a week later just to check everything was still running fine."
"Commercial dispatch was quick and the tech understood our system without needing to be walked through it. Documentation for our records was thorough and easy to file."
"The estimate matched the final invoice exactly, down to the dollar. Installation crew was in and out in a day and left the space cleaner than they found it."
"Called at 11pm during a heat wave and honestly didn't expect anyone to pick up, let alone show up. Genuinely relieved to have found a crew that answers when it matters."
Understanding what typically fails helps homeowners know what to watch for and when a repair call is worth making before things get worse.
Kihei's seasonal swings put real stress on a system that isn't maintained regularly. Before the coldest stretch of the year, a heating system benefits from a full safety inspection, checking the heat exchanger, ignition system, and airflow to catch any issue that could turn into a no-heat emergency.
Keeping vents unblocked by furniture and rugs helps maintain even airflow throughout the home. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
Whether your Kihei home has a traditional split system, a ductless mini-split, a heat pump, or a hybrid dual-fuel setup, our crews are equipped to diagnose and repair it. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.

We'd rather quote it honestly on the phone than have you feel ambushed by the bill.
Straightforward fixes like a capacitor swap or a thermostat replacement are often finished in well under an hour.
For commercial accounts or rental properties, a designated point of contact or property manager can coordinate access instead.
Housing stock varies a lot across Kihei — older homes often still run original ductwork that needs different care than the sealed, high-efficiency systems going into newer builds.
We also work regularly with homeowners associations, property management companies, and multi-unit buildings throughout Kihei.
We accept standard payment methods for repairs and smaller jobs, and we'll always tell you upfront what a given service is likely to cost so there's no last-minute scramble to figure out payment. If a rebate or local incentive program applies to your Kihei installation, our technicians will flag it during the estimate rather than leaving you to track it down after the fact.
We dispatch throughout Kihei and the neighboring communities, keeping response times tight because our trucks stay close to home.
If you're on the edge of our listed zip codes, it's still worth a call, since routes and coverage get adjusted as demand shifts.
